He also represents clients in others areas of litigation including personal injury claims, construction disputes, creditors remedies and employment/wrongful dismissal. Whether through settlement or ultimately before the Courts, Simon’s focus on litigation is to bring cases to a timely and efficient conclusion.

As a result of his experience in civil litigation, Simon has also gained experience in other areas of concentrations including Chambers practice (jury notice issues, expert assessments, document disclosure) and practice before the Registry involving Bills of Costs and Legal Profession Act hearings. In regard to creditor/debtor experience, Simon handled debt litigation claims for a number of years for an international credit agency and various leasing companies. As part of his law degree training while at UBC, Simon attended an exchange program with the University of California, Hastings College of Law, in San Francisco, and was subsequently qualified to practice law in the State of California.

Simon joined Virgin Law Group in 2016 after practising through his own law corporation for over 20 years in Vancouver where he had concentrated on trial work for insurance related matters and other commercial litigation.

A native of Vancouver, after graduation from high school at St. George’s School, Simon put himself through university as a member of the Naval Reserves, receiving training as a Maritime Officer with the rank of Sub-Lieutenant before leaving the Navy. He currently resides near Grouse Mountain with his family where he is close to the ski hills.
