Louis is an Associate at Virgin Law Group and represents clients across a diverse range of matters with a focus in commercial litigation, contractual and business disputes, insurance defence, and homeowners insurance & property damage.

Louis prides himself on guiding individuals and businesses through the uncertainty of litigation and adopts a goal oriented and practical approach.  Litigation is often times a business decision, and this is reflected in Louis’ advice to his clients.  However, he is also someone who commits to his clients cause and will see matters through to their finality when settlement is not feasible.  Louis also has experience stepping in to short fuse matters where time sensitive advice and assistance is required, having taken on matters for private clients days before hearing or trial.  Louis has appeared before the Supreme Court of British Columbia, the Provincial Court of British Columbia, the Ontario Court of Justice, and various quasi-judicial tribunals.

Prior to joining Virgin Law Group, Louis practiced at a British Columbia based full-service law firm where he was able to diversify his practice.  Before that, Louis practiced criminal and regulatory law at a boutique law firm in Toronto under a former Senior Crown Attorney, where he advocated for clients in court on an almost daily basis.

Louis is a volunteer with the Lawyer Referral Service at Access Pro Bono BC and a member of The Academy of Canadian Cinema & Television, and has assisted local boutique agencies and talent in contractual negotiations within the film industry.
