Heather has over a decade of experience at the British Columbia Bar, during which time she has appeared before Provincial Court and BC Supreme Court on trials, summary trial, chambers applications, and applications for costs. Her collaborative and even-handed approach has also enabled her to frequently resolve claims through mediations, 4-way meetings and more informally – though no less persuasively – through direct correspondence.

Heather’s practice at Virgin Law Group focuses on insurance defence, wills and estates litigation, and family law. In addition, Heather assists clients with employment/wrongful dismissal, creditors remedies, administrative law matters, and plaintiff personal injury. Working across diverse practice areas has taught Heather to adapt her litigation skills to whatever context is relevant to her clients, and to deftly manage the varying personalities her clients will come up against while seeking a resolution of their matter.

Regardless of the area of practice, Heather takes pleasure in seeing a file through to its conclusion and achieving a result that is fair and works for everyone involved.

Heather has been a member of the Canadian Bar Association since commencing law school in 2006. She has served on the executive of the Young Lawyers Vancouver Section, as part of the CBA Legislation and Law Reform Committee and is currently a Provincial Council Vancouver County Representative.
