SENIOR FAMILY LAW LAWYER

We are expanding our Family Law team. We are a multi disciplinary practice; offering necessary services that are required during a separation or divorce. If you are a qualified Family Lawyer with a passion for helping clients resolve their separation and divorce, come join our team.


The Family Law team specializes in:


  • Divorce and Separation
  • Division of Family Property
  • Custody and Parenting Matters
  • Prenup / Cohabitation Agreements
  • Variations
  • Appeals


Responsibilities:


  • Provide accurate and reasonable legal advice and guidance to new and existing clients.
  • Support principals with their complex client matters, while also independently representing your own clients who may have less complex matters, which involves attending court, and/or alternative dispute resolution attendances.
  • Liaise with lawyers, paralegals, legal assistants, clients, and other professionals to prepare materials for trials, applications, conferences, and other proceedings.
  • Assist clients with preparing financial statements, and other legal documents.
  • Research legal issues, and draft various legal documents including letters, pleadings, applications, briefs and factums.
  • Maintain frequent contact (and follow-ups) with clients throughout their legal process.
  • Meet with potential new clients, and assess their needs for legal representation.

Required experience:


  • Law Degree with 15+ years experience
  • Member of the BC Bar in good standing
  • Ability to run a caseload from beginning to end
  • Proactive and organized work style
  • Ability to establish clear direction to others, and comfortable with task delegation
  • Required licence or certification
  • Member of the BC Bar in good standing
