British Columbia (2018)

Jennifer joined Virgin Hickman in April 2019.  She was called to the bar of British Columbia in January 2018 after articling at a small Vancouver litigation firm.  She then moved to another firm where she primarily practiced in the area of insurance defence litigation.  Jennifer continues her insurance defence work at Virgin Hickman.  She has appeared in the Provincial and Supreme Courts of BC on insurance, contract, family and criminal matters. She volunteers for Access Pro Bono.

While attending law school at the University of Victoria, Jennifer gained a broad range of experiences by working at the Law Centre, which provides free legal advice and representation on a variety of matters to low-income individuals who do not qualify for Legal Aid.  She completed co-op work terms at a poverty law advocacy centre, a personal injury firm that represents plaintiffs, and at the BC Government Employees Union.

Jennifer enjoys spending time outdoors, trying new restaurants, reading fiction, and travelling.
