Andrea Abbinante joined Virgin Hickman in 2010 where she currently practices in the areas of plaintiff personal injury, motor vehicle and general insurance defence. She believes that client satisfaction and high ethical standards are paramount in managing litigation matters. Andrea brings an analytical eye to each scenario and ensures that a high degree of excellence is applied to each case.
Andrea’s experience has spanned a wide range of practice areas including plaintiff personal injury, motor vehicle insurance defence, aviation insurance defence, dental malpractice insurance defence, general insurance defence, medical malpractice, employment, environmental (including Environmental Appeal Board), construction, commercial, creditors remedies, matrimonial, product liability class action defence, and tribunal work. The plaintiffs in her current case load include those injured as motorists, cyclists, motorcyclists and pedestrians, who have suffered traumatic brain injuries, severe psychological injury, chronic pain, broken bones, soft tissue, and other injuries.
Andrea brings a high level of performance to all phases of the litigation process, with extensive experience supporting counsel in all areas of trial, mediation, discovery, registrar’s hearings, and other court appearances. Andrea has experience negotiating settlement of costs and Small Claims matters, and has played an active role in resolving disputes at mediation.
Andrea was a presenter at the March 2017 TLABC Paralegal Seminar as a member of the Time Management Panel. She is also responsible for developing procedural resources for the firm and leads in-house presentations on litigation systems, as well as practice and procedure.
